Block 3105 Manambolo
Block 3105 Manambolo:
Manambolo block is the smallest of the blocks at 3,995 square kilometers (1.0 million acres). The 2009 seismic analysis developed two areas as indicated below;Prospective Area 1 was a direct outcome of the 2009 seismic acquisition; and Prospective Area 2 resulted from applying interpretation adjustments identified in 2009 seismic to prior seismic data.
The GORE micro seepage output has been overlaid on the prospect areas on the map below.
- Hydrocarbon Potential is indicated by red closures which represent a greater than 50% probability of subsurface trapped hydrocarbons.
- Prospect Area 1 does not appear to have any significant areas with hydrocarbon exceeding background levels.
- Prospect Area 2 indicates significant areas of potential, however the hydrocarbon patterns consistent are more indicative of fluvial or turbidite channels rather than assumed closure identified by the seismic analysis.
